Why Certification Matters

Same by day. A lifesaver by night.

In daylight, reflectors can look almost identical. But after dark, the difference is clear: certified products shine powerfully from hundreds of metres away, while uncertified ones barely reflect any light and can't be relied on.

Currently

EN 17353:2020

Since 2021, this standard has replaced the previous EN 13356 (in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/425).

Advanced requirements

Hanging accessories: Reflective surface area of at least 30 cm²

Fixed elements: At least 180 cm²

All Refloactive products made from AGR MAX, ORALITE and ENFREN PVC-free reflective foil comply with EN 17353:2020 and are CE-certified in accordance with EU Regulation 2016/425.

Previously

EN 13356

Products with valid certificates may still be sold legally for up to five years.

Although testing in accordance with EN 13356 was discontinued in 2022, we continue to offer certified wristbands made from RF-S film in yellow and silver (34 × 3 cm).

The standard is clearly indicated on packaging and in product documentation.

Not every product requires a CE mark. Decorative reflectors are subject to different regulations, but still meet high quality standards.

Decorative reflectors are not covered by the PPE Regulation (EU) 2016/425
